Hours after the inauguration of Joe Biden, he signed an executive order to force everyone to wear masks. The new US president told the reporters that he needs to work immediately, and the national mask mandate is on his top list.
The 100 Days Mask Challenge will make people comply with wearing masks to observe social distancing measures set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The said order applies to anyone in the federal land, including soldiers in the military bases.
In addition to this, the order prohibits soldiers from standing less than six feet in public places and work areas. It will also apply to people who are travelling to different states.

Ryan Saavedra of Daily Wire reported that during Biden’s inauguration at Lincoln Memorial, the president was not wearing a mask.
The action is contrary to his mandate on wearing the mask at federal buildings. Biden continued not to wear a mask during his meeting with the press.
Jen Psaki, the new White House Press Secretary, defended the violation by saying, “He was celebrating an evening of a historic day in our country, and certainly he signed the mask mandate because it’s a way to send a message to the American public of the importance of wearing masks, saving tens of thousands of lives.”

Biden was proud to post on his Twitter account about his stand on wearing a mask. He said that wearing masks is not a partisan issue, and that it is an act to save a lot of lives. He continued by saying that it is now time to mask up across America.

Despite Biden’s mandate, his family members were seen not wearing masks even on federal property. These actions were heavily criticized by conservative personalities and pointing out Biden’s hypocrisy.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turn Point USA, said that it seems Biden’s mandate of wearing masks does not apply to the president.
Meanwhile, congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado compared Biden to his fellow Democrats who continuously show double standards.
